Husk Herringbone is a light, understated oak floor designed to keep interiors feeling open, calm and balanced. The tone sits firmly on the lighter side of the range, with a soft natural warmth that avoids feeling cold or overly bleached, giving it a clean and relaxed overall appearance.
In a herringbone layout, that lighter tone changes the feel of the pattern completely. You still get the structure and movement that parquet flooring brings to a space, but the softer colour keeps the overall look more subtle and easy to live with. It introduces detail without making the floor the dominant feature in the room.
The grain variation is present, but controlled and consistent across the boards. That helps Husk maintain a cleaner and more contemporary appearance than more character-heavy oak finishes, making it particularly well suited to modern interiors, Scandinavian-inspired spaces and lighter open-plan layouts.
The lacquered finish adds practicality without taking away from the natural appearance of the oak. It protects the surface from day-to-day wear while helping maintain the lighter tone over time, giving you a floor that feels refined and durable without becoming overly glossy or artificial.
Because the herringbone blocks are slightly smaller at 360mm in length, the finished pattern feels tighter and more detailed across the room. That makes Husk especially effective in hallways, living spaces, bedrooms and feature areas where you want texture and movement while still keeping the room feeling bright and uncluttered.
Like the rest of the engineered collection, Husk is built with a substantial 3mm real oak wear layer. That gives you the option to sand and refinish the floor in the future if needed, helping extend the lifespan of the flooring over time.
Husk works particularly well in interiors where natural light is important. The lighter oak tone reflects light well across the room and pairs naturally with soft neutrals, minimalist décor, natural textures and contemporary finishes.
If you like the colour and overall feel of Husk but prefer a more open and flowing layout, there is also a matching plank version available. The plank format carries the same soft oak tone and controlled grain through longer boards, creating a slightly cleaner and more spacious overall appearance while retaining the same calm and natural character.
As always, the best way to judge the tone properly is within your own environment. Free samples are available so you can compare the colour, grain and finish against your lighting, furnishings and surrounding décor before making a final decision.
