Husk brings together a softer, lighter oak tone with a calm and understated finish that feels effortless across a wide range of interiors. It has a clean and airy appearance, but still carries enough natural movement through the grain to feel warm, authentic and full of character once laid throughout the room.
The lighter colour palette makes Husk particularly effective in spaces where natural light is important. It helps rooms feel more open and relaxed without becoming cold or washed out, which is often the challenge with paler wood flooring. There’s a gentle warmth running through the boards that keeps the overall finish balanced and comfortable, whether it’s used in a contemporary interior or something more classic and homely.
The larger plank format gives the floor a premium and spacious feel underfoot. At 190mm wide and 1900mm long, the boards allow the natural oak grain to flow properly throughout the space, helping create a cleaner and more seamless finish across living rooms, kitchens, hallways and open-plan layouts.
Husk has a quieter, more refined character than some of the more rustic finishes in the range, but it never feels flat or overly uniform. Subtle knots, soft grain patterns and natural tonal variation keep the floor visually interesting while maintaining a calm and sophisticated overall look.
The lacquered finish adds practicality without stripping away the natural appearance of the timber. It protects the surface from day-to-day wear while keeping maintenance straightforward, making Husk a very strong option for busy homes that still want the warmth and quality of real engineered oak flooring.
Its lighter tone works beautifully alongside neutral interiors, soft textures, natural fabrics and modern minimalist spaces. It also pairs exceptionally well with darker accents, black fixtures and contemporary furniture, allowing the floor to act as a bright and versatile base throughout the home.
Beneath the surface, Husk is built with long-term durability in mind. The substantial 3mm real oak wear layer means the floor can be sanded and refinished in the future if needed, helping extend its lifespan and allowing it to age naturally over time.
If you’re looking for an engineered oak floor that feels light, modern and calming without losing the warmth and texture of genuine timber, Husk offers a very well-balanced and highly versatile finish.
